I Remember: Sonnet

I remember the day You saved my life

That was full of torment, hurt and deep pain.

In the midst of my worldly walk in strife;

My every step a challenge, with no gain

Falling down on my journey’s long dark path.

I had untreated wounds, bleeding and sore;

 Dealing daily with my own inner wrath

Deep in a clouded darkness within my core.

I remember the day You poured Your grace,

Gazing upon me, flooding me with light

Looking up toward Heaven, I saw Your face

Adopted child, dearly loved ~ Your delight.

Prayer ~ Meditation ~ Serenity

Silence ~ Stillness ~ Simplicity

Until I dwell; for all Eternity…
